About Ben Mustian

After graduating from Wake Forest University in 1997 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000, Ben Mustian served as an attorney for the South Carolina House of Representatives Judiciary Committee and the House Ethics Committee. There, he gained invaluable experience with legislative matters, statutory drafting, and campaign ethics law. In 2004, Ben began working for the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff and provided legal representation on utility and motor carrier matters pending before the Public Service Commission of South Carolina. Ben entered into private practice in 2006 where he continued practicing Public Utility Law and provided legal counsel to electric, natural gas, telecommunications, water, and wastewater clients. He also expanded into administrative, health care, and corporate law.

At the Mustian Law Firm, Ben focuses his practice on Administrative and Public Law and represents clients on issues pending before South Carolina state agencies, including the Public Service Commission of South Carolina, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, and the South Carolina Department of Insurance.  He also has significant experience in providing legal counsel and representation on a variety of matters and is well-qualified to advise  clients on corporate formation, mergers, litigation and other legal matters. Ben’s legal experience includes representing clients on campaign ethics issues including complaints before the South Carolina House Ethics Committee and the South Carolina State Ethics Commission, as well as representing governmental entities on redistricting matters, including the adjustment of  boundaries for Congressional, state legislative, county, and municipal election districts.
